About The County Assembly

County Assemblies are derived from the devolved County governments from the national government. The Counties of Kenya are geographical units envisioned by the 2010 Constitution of Kenya as the units of devolved government. The powers legislative authority and powers of County Governments are provided in Articles 185 and 186 and in the Fourth Schedule of the Constitution of Kenya and the County Government Act of 2012.

Meet the speaker

Hon. Teddy Ngumbao Mwambire, is a son of our own soil, born and bred in Kilifi County, in Ganze Subcounty. He attended Madamani Primary School and Mariakani
Secondary School in the 1990s. He later joined the Jomo Kenyatta  University of Agriculture and Technology, where he pursued County Governance, Later joined KCA University for a Diploma in County governance and Management, which equipped him with better knowledge on how to run the County agenda as a speaker.
